Position: Director of Day Care Center/Academy

Reports to: [Higher Management/Board of Directors]

Position Overview: The Director of the Day Care Center/Academy will be responsible for providing leadership, management, and oversight to ensure the highest quality of care and educational services for young children. The Director will establish and maintain a safe, nurturing environment conducive to children’s growth and development.

Salary: $35,000 – $40,000 in a year

Job Type: Full-time

Shift and Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8-hour shift, flexible, no work on weekends and holidays

Work Set up: In-Person

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Lead, mentor, and support teaching and administrative staff.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with families, ensuring open communication regarding child progress and center updates.
  4. Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure adherence to best practices in early childhood education.
  5. Manage budget and financial operations of the center.
  6. Ensure the safety and well-being of children, staff, and visitors.
  7. Continually assess and implement improvements in processes, policies, and procedures.
  8. Stay updated on the latest developments in early childhood education and implement necessary changes.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of an Associate’s degree.
  2. A total of 18 Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits:
    • 9 ECE credits from coursework.
    • 9 ECE credits from the Director Credential coursework from an approved Higher Education Institute.
  3. Proven supervisory or managerial experience (documented).
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
  6. Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to continuous learning.

Preferred:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  2. Current or expired Director Credential certificate.
  3. Master’s degree holders without an Early Childhood Education degree should have:
    • 30 ECE credits.
    • At least 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
    • 3 Credit course in Admin/Management related to child care.

Child Care Teacher


We are looking for a Child Care Teacher to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our facilities. You will teach and supervise them while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination.

Salary: $18 – $25 per hour

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Shift and Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8-hour shift, no work on weekends and holidays, flexible

Work Set-up: In-Person

Responsibilities

  • Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material
  • Balance your teaching between logical and social exercises
  • Provide basic care and caregiving activities
  • Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
  • Evaluate children’s performance to make sure they are on the right learning track
  • Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children
  • Observe children’s interactions and promote the spirit of concord
  • Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action
  • Collaborate with other colleagues
  • Adhere to teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources

Requirements and skills

Child Care Assistant Teacher

 

We are looking for an experienced childcare assistant to be responsible for providing assistance to the childcare teacher at a school. The childcare assistant will work closely with the childcare teacher in conducting daily duties such as preparing and serving meals, changing diapers, writing daily reports, recording attendance, engaging in play, assisting to put children to sleep, and creating a safe environment.

To be successful as a childcare assistant, you must possess a passion for children and exercise patience with them. You should display a friendly and positive attitude and greet parents and children by their name. Ultimately, you should constantly monitor and supervise the children in your care to ensure their safety.

Salary: $14 – $18 per hour

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Childcare Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Providing support for the childcare teacher.
  • Monitoring and supervising the children constantly.
  • Assisting the childcare teacher in maintaining a safe and positive environment.
  • Cultivating relationships with children, parents, and guardians.
  • Alerting the childcare teacher to emergencies.
  • Preparing and serving meals and snacks.
  • Greeting parents and addressing children by their name.
  • Adhering to procedures in preparing a bottle or changing a diaper.
  • Assisting with sand, water, or playground activities.
  • Assisting in putting children to sleep.

Childcare Assistant Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certificate in early childhood education and care (CHC 30113), if pertinent to the state.
  • A current Working with Children License.
  • First Aid Training recommended.
  • On-the-job training recommended.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must meet state-specific guidelines.
